Terms and Conditions for Renters

These terms and conditions constitute an agreement between Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz, organization number: 933215091, as the service provider ("Service Provider" / " Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz " / "We") and you as the renter ("Renter" or "User"). The agreement governs your rights and obligations as a user of Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz’s products and services, as well as Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz rights and obligations as the provider of the service. Access to and use of the service are contingent upon your acceptance of these terms and conditions. We encourage you to read carefully and familiarize yourself with the current terms and conditions applicable to the Service Provider, including the privacy policy and other conditions for the Service Provider.

Renter at Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz

The service is made available to you by Engineering and Consulting Stroisz. Tenant status can be applied for by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. Importantly, our workshop is exclusively available for non-commercial, hobby use. We do not offer rentals to professional entities or for commercial purposes, ensuring that our resources are dedicated to enthusiasts seeking personal development and enjoyment in their craft. This policy helps maintain the integrity and intended community-oriented use of our facilities. Our workshop is primarily intended for general mechanical works and maintenance. It is important to note that the workshop is not equipped or approved for:

1. Car washing. If you wish to clean your car, this must be done outside the workshop, and only biodegradable cleaning products should be used. It is permitted to dry, polish, and perform other finishing tasks indoors, but the main washing should not take place inside the workshop.

2. Furthermore, the workshop is not designed for car painting. There is insufficient ventilation available, and painting could generate flammable and explosive atmospheres.

3. The workshop is also unsuitable for welding and other tasks that require special ventilation or other specialized devices or safety measures.

Hammers or other impact tools are not allowed to be used directly on the floor. If you need to strike car parts or other objects with a hammer, please do so only on a designated work table or outside the workshop.

If you choose to engage in any of these activities, or other activities that can create fire or explosion risks or damage, it will be at your own risk. Any accidents or damage resulting from such activities will make you financially responsible for all damages. Before carrying out any of the aforementioned activities, you must ensure to protect all tools, equipment, and the workshop itself against potential risks, dirt, and other hazards.

We reserve the right to wholly or partially transfer our rights and obligations to another company. This may involve transferring your information to another company. You will receive reasonable advance notice from Engineering and Consulting Stroisz in the event of such a transfer.

By renting our workshop, you confirm and declare that you are well aware of how to conduct yourself and how to use all the tools and equipment available in the workshop. You declare that you do not need assistance and that you are fully aware of any potential dangers that may threaten you, and that you will prevent them. You also acknowledge that any accidents are your own responsibility, and you will not hold the landlord accountable for them.

Booking and Agreement Process

Reservations must be made at least two hours in advance. Otherwise, we cannot guarantee that the reservation will be activated. Once a booking is received by our server, a legally binding agreement is established between the Renter and the Landlord. You will receive a confirmation email as soon as the rental is registered with us. If a binding booking is canceled or changed, the Renter will be charged according to the applicable price list for cancellations and changes. We reserve the right to refuse any rental without further explanation. When you rent the workshop, the Renter primarily pays for the use of the room itself. All tools and equipment offered in the workshop are provided as additional facilities at no extra cost. As such, malfunctions or unavailability of these items do not entitle the Renter to terminate the rental or claim reductions in rental fees.

Rental Period

The rental period begins at the time specified in the booking. The renter will receive an access code via email no later than 15 minutes before the rental period starts. The renter must leave the workshop as indicated in the booking and before the departure deadline. The departure is considered complete when the workshop is cleaned and locked. The access code will be deactivated within a maximum of 15 minutes after the departure deadline. The renter will be charged for each hour started after the rental period ends. We do not provide refunds if the renter finishes the activity before the rental period ends.

Renter's Obligations and Responsibilities

The Renter is obliged to adhere to the rules and user terms that apply at all times for Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz. The Renter is personally responsible for all types of activity in the workshop and its surroundings. The renter confirms that they fully understand all dangers associated with workshop activities and confirm that they are fully knowledgeable and have the technical skills to perform all workshop activities. The renter also confirms that they fully understand and know how to safely use a car lift and the rest of the workshop equipment.The workshop needs to be cleaned after activities and before the Renter leaves. All tools must be returned to their original places, and all dirt and garbage need to be removed from the workshop. The Renter commits to treating the workshop and all tools and equipment in a responsible manner and will not: • Smoke in the workshop (this is strictly PROHIBITED). • Perform activities/use the workshop under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or in a weakened state, in accordance with Norwegian law. • Rent out the workshop, tools, or equipment to others. • Use the workshop, tools, or equipment for illegal purposes or criminal activities. • Allow others who are not approved by Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz to use the workshop, tools, or equipment. • Use the workshop, tools, or equipment for activities related to illegal substances and materials, according to Norwegian law. Damages resulting from use in violation of these points are compensable, and Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz and the Lessor have the right to full reimbursement for financial expenses or losses. Violations of the above points are considered significant breaches of the user terms, giving Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz the right to terminate your profile with immediate effect. Throughout the rental period and until the workshop is returned to the Lessor in accordance with this agreement, the Renter bears all responsibility for the workshop and its use unless it is due to conditions on Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz's part.
The workshop needs to be cleaned after activities and before the Renter leaves. All tools must be returned to their original places, and all dirt and garbage need to be removed from the workshop.
The Renter commits to treating the workshop and all tools and equipment in a responsible manner and will not:
Charging of electric cars or other items/devices/vehicles that are not used directly for repairs and activities in the workshop during the rental period.

Rent out the workshop, tools, or equipment to others.
Use the workshop, tools, or equipment for illegal purposes or criminal activities.
Allow others who are not approved by Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz to use the workshop, tools, or equipment.
Use the workshop, tools, or equipment for activities related to illegal substances and materials, according to Norwegian law. 

Damages resulting from use in violation of these points are compensable, and Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz and the Lessor have the right to full reimbursement for financial expenses or losses. Violations of the above points are considered significant breaches of the user terms, giving Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz the right to terminate your profile with immediate effect. Throughout the rental period and until the workshop is returned to the Lessor in accordance with this agreement, the Renter bears all responsibility for the workshop and its use unless it is due to conditions on Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz's part.

Cleaning and Maintenance of the Workshop, Tools and Equipment’s Condition

The workshop, along with all tools and equipment, must be returned in the same condition as it was at the beginning of the rental period. This includes ensuring that all equipment is accounted for, cleaned, and returned to its designated place. The tools and equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and placed back in the same locations as they were found. The workshop itself must also be cleaned thoroughly; floors should be swept, surfaces wiped down, and any debris or spills must be cleaned up promptly.
In addition to general cleaning, the following maintenance protocols must be observed:

• Tool Maintenance: Regularly check all tools for wear and tear. Any tools found to be faulty or damaged should be reported to Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz immediately. Tools should be cleaned of any dirt, grease, or debris after each use to maintain their functionality and prolong their lifespan.
• Equipment Care: Ensure that all machinery and equipment are turned off and unplugged after use. Check for any signs of malfunction or damage and report these immediately. For electronic equipment, ensure that cables are coiled and stored properly to avoid damage.
• Safety Checks: Perform routine checks to ensure all safety measures are functional. This includes checking fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and emergency exits to ensure they are accessible and in working order.
• Waste Management:Renter is responsible for removing all waste generated during the rental period. The workshop does not provide waste disposal services. Renter must take all garbage and waste with them upon departure. For your convenience, a box containing bags and other disposal supplies will be available for purchase on-site. It is imperative that no waste is left in or around the workshop premises.
• Final Inspection:Before leaving, conduct a final walk-through to ensure that no equipment is left out of place, that the workshop is clean, and that there are no potential safety hazards. Photographs of the cleaned workshop and properly arranged tools may be taken as proof of compliance with these terms.

Renholdsavgiften er minimum 400 NOK. Derfor anbefaler vi at du rydder opp etter deg – feier og vasker gulvet, tørker av verktøy som er tilgriset med fett, osv.

Failure to adhere to these cleaning and maintenance protocols may result in additional fees or penalties as per the terms of the rental agreement with Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz. Compliance is essential to ensure a safe and functional environment for all users.

Damage and Technical Faults Discovered at the Start of the Rental

Når du leier verkstedet, betaler leietakeren primært for bruken av selve rommet. Alle verktøy og utstyr som tilbys i verkstedet tilbys som tilleggsfasiliteter uten ekstra kostnad. Hvis det er tvil om vedlikehold og tilstand på verkstedet, verktøyene og utstyret, bør Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz kontaktes umiddelbart. Disse skal ikke brukes før saken er avklart med Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz. Vær oppmerksom på at Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz ikke tar ansvar for eventuelle funksjonsfeil på verktøy eller utstyr. Tilgjengeligheten av disse verktøyene og utstyret er en høflighet og de er ikke inkludert i leiekostnaden for verkstedsplassen. Som sådan gir ikke funksjonsfeil eller utilgjengelighet av disse elementene leietakeren rett til å avslutte leien eller kreve reduksjoner i leieavgiftene. Tekniske feil som kan oppstå eller som kommer til Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz sin kunnskap under en leieperiode, og som kan rettes innen en tid som er rimelig i forhold til leietakerens behov og leieperioden, gir ikke leietakeren rett til å avslutte leien. Hvis leietakeren velger å avslutte leien uansett, vil de være ansvarlig for leien under leieperioden, men med et fradrag for den tiden som ville ha gått med til reparasjonen. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz er videre ikke ansvarlig for utgifter leietakeren pådrar seg i forbindelse med å returnere verkstedet til sin opprinnelige tilstand. Hvis reparasjonen ikke kan ordnes innen nevnte frist, kan leietakeren, hvis Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz har muligheten, overføre leien til et annet tilsvarende sted. Hvis ikke, anses leien som avsluttet fra det tidspunktet Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz mottok melding om saken fra leietakeren. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz vil da ikke ha noe ansvar for eventuelle tap eller forpliktelser som leietakeren kan pådra seg.

Skader og Tekniske Feil som Inntreffer Under Leieperioden

When renting the workshop, the Renter is primarily paying for the use of the space itself. All tools and equipment provided within the workshop are offered as additional amenities at no extra charge. If there is doubt about the maintenance and condition of the workshop, tools, and equipment, Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz should be contacted immediately. These should not be used until the matter is clarified with Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz. Please note that Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz does not take responsibility for any malfunctioning tools or equipment. The availability of these tools and equipment is a courtesy and they are not included in the rental cost of the workshop space. As such, any malfunctions or unavailability of these items do not give the Renter the right to terminate the rental or claim reductions in the rental fees. Technical faults that may occur or come to Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz's knowledge during a rental, and which can be rectified within a time that is reasonable in relation to the Renter's needs and the rental period, do not give the Renter the right to terminate the rental. If the Renter chooses to terminate the rental regardless, they will be responsible for the rent during the rental period, however, with a deduction for the time that would have elapsed for the repair. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz is further not responsible for the expenses incurred by the Renter in connection with returning the workshop to its original condition. If the repair cannot be arranged within the mentioned deadline, the Renter may, if Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz has the opportunity, transfer the rental to another equivalent setting. If not, the rental is considered terminated from the time Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz received notification of the matter from the Renter. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz will then have no responsibility for any loss or liability that the Renter may incur.

Damage Control and Inspection Obligationt

The Renter must always check the workshop externally for damages and other faults, and take pictures of all aspects of the workshop both before beginning and after completing the rental. The Renter must also check the workshop's condition internally at the start and end of the rental, reporting all deviations, including damages, dirt, trash, missing or defective equipment, any odor, and other factors that affect the workshop's perceived condition. The Renter must take a picture of all reported problems that are visible.

If the Renter is in doubt about whether the condition of the workshop should be reported, Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz’s customer service should be contacted for clarification before the Renter leaves the premises. The Renter is responsible for ensuring that the documentation of the workshop's condition through pictures is of sufficient quality to document damages, scratches, and deficiencies before and after a rental. Documenting the workshop's condition is necessary to terminate a rental, as referenced in the section "Rental Period" below. Failure by the Renter to document the workshop's condition is the Renter’s own risk and constitutes a significant breach of the user terms, giving Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz the right to terminate the profile with immediate effect. The Renter is responsible for damages discovered after the rental period and which are not documented before the start of the rental by the Renter.

By taking pictures/videos at damage control as documentation of the workshop’s condition at the beginning and end of the rental, you grant Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz a non-exclusive transferable right to use, modify, publicly display, reproduce, distribute, and share with third parties this content.

Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz 's Obligations and Responsibilities

Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz is a service that allows Renters and Lessors of workshops to come into contact and complete a rental in a smooth and seamless manner. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz handles contract signing, payment, damage control, and opening. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz cannot be considered a party in any rental agreement. If Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz fails to fulfill its obligations under this agreement, the User may demand that Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz rectify the deficiency at its own expense if this can be done without causing Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz unreasonable cost or inconvenience. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz assumes no responsibility for damage to or loss of property that the User or another person has left, stored, in the workshop during the rental period, or after return. The User waives the right to make claims against Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz for such losses or damages. Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz disclaims any liability to the User with regard to loss of time, money, or other that may arise from, or be related to the rental beyond liability described in this agreement. Compensation for indirect losses that the Renter suffers, such as operational interruptions, deprivation, lost profits as a result of a rental falling through or not being properly fulfilled, or damage resulting from something other than the rented workshop, can only be claimed if Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz has shown gross negligence or intent.

Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz is not responsible for content, material, and other items that appear on third-party websites that have linked to Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz or are linked from Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz

Force Majeure

If Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz is prevented from delivering the service or such a delivery obligation becomes unreasonably burdensome as a result of labor conflict or any other circumstance when the parties cannot control it, such as extreme weather, fire, war, mobilization or unforeseen military calls of similar scope, requisition, seizure, currency restrictions, riots, scarcity of transportation means, general commodity scarcity, restriction in the supply of driving force, as well as defects in or delays of deliveries from subcontractors or manufacturers due to such circumstances as mentioned in this point, Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz is exempt from all other liability.

Changes in the User Terms

Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz reserves the right to change the user terms. The current user terms are available on Engineering og Rådgivning Stroisz 's website. In the event of significant changes in the user terms, you will be notified with reasonable notice. By continuing to use the service after the changes have taken effect, you agree to be bound by the user terms. If you do not accept changes, you are obliged to refrain from any use of the service.

Disputes and Choice of Law

The user terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes arising from the user terms that the parties do not resolve amicably shall be settled in Norwegian courts with Oslo District Court as the agreed venue.
